Sunrise Village Dental Now Accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan

now accepts cdcp

Are you tired of compromising your dental health because of the high costs of dental care? Introducing the Canadian Dental Care Plan – your pathway to affordable dental health. Dental treatments can often come with a hefty price tag, leaving many people to neglect their oral health due to financial constraints. The Canadian Dental Care Plan aims to change that by easing the financial strain of dental services to individuals and families across the country.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the CDCP, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. No Access to Dental Insurance: This means that you do not have any form of dental insurance coverage.
  2. Adjusted Family Net Income of Less than $90,000: Your adjusted family net income should be below $90,000.
  3. Canadian Resident for Tax Purposes: You must be a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
  4. Filed Tax Return in the Previous Year: You should have filed your tax return in the year prior to your application.

Please ensure that you meet all of these eligibility criteria to qualify for the CDCP.

Services Covered by the CDCP

Here are some of the primary services included in the CDCP:

  1. Preventive services: These encompass scaling (cleaning), sealants, and fluoride treatments.
  2. Diagnostic services: This category includes examinations and x-rays.
  3. Restorative services: Such as fillings to repair damaged teeth.
  4. Endodontic services: Covering root canal treatments to address tooth infections.
  5. Prosthodontic services: Including both complete and partial removable dentures.
  6. Periodontal services: Like deep scaling for gum health.
  7. Oral surgery services: Such as extractions when necessary.

How much will be Covered by the CDCP

The CDCP reimburses a portion of costs based on set fees and your adjusted family net income. If your income falls between $70,000 and $89,999, you may face additional charges directly from the oral health provider. Co-payments are determined by income, with lower incomes requiring less out-of-pocket payments.

For incomes below $70,000, the CDCP covers 100% of eligible costs, while for incomes between $70,000 and $79,999, it covers 60%, and for incomes between $80,000 and $89,999, it covers 40%.
